Water Utility Revenues and Unit Costs from Coldstream 2013-2015 (3Q)

The more one looks at this, the more telling it is of a water utility whose appetite for revenues is insatiable. 

Look at the cost per cubic metre of water.  Water costs are highest during the first Quarter Jan-Dec each year (sewage costs are determined in the first Q too).  The price per unit went from $2.96 to $4.11 from 2013 to this year.  An increase of 139 per cent in two years!!!!

Despite stage 1 water restrictions (agriculture wasn't as quick off the mark self-imposing restrictions), the Greater Vernon Water utility, in two years (2013-2015) increased revenue by $269,986 in the Third Quarter alone, and base rates increased by $99,592.
